Growing Instructions
With good care you can grow a mature coffee plant, small clusters of tiny white flowers develop at the leaf joints of new growth. The drupe / cherry move through bright red to purple as they mature and they typically contain two seeds, known as coffee beans
As an extra plus, the tiny flowers produce a sweet jasmine-like fragrance.
This evergreen does not shed its leaves. When growing coffee plants indoors “under-cover” of a greenhouse or sunroom, plants can reach heights of 5′-8′ feet tall.
Once you have your seeds, soak them in water for about 24 hours. After 24 hours, remove and sow them in wet sand, burlap, or vermiculite and drain any excess water. Keep watering the seeds every day until they sprout. Once the seeds sprout, you can now transfer them into the pot or your chosen planting area.
Water at least twice a week when it's warm and once a week when its cold after plants have been transferred into pots. Choose one day for a full watering and another for half watering. A full watering involves soaking the entire soil in a lot of water and allowing it to drain. Continue with this routine until the tree is fully established and ready to bear fruits. Also fertilise the plants when necessary.
