Growing Instructions
Actinidia deliciosa ‘Jenny’ is the only self-fertile, hardy kiwi variety available. Heart-shaped, green leaves with red tips are followed by clusters of small white flowers in summer. Kiwis are ready to harvest in August and September.
A full sun lover, it is best grown in fertile, medium moisture, well-drained soils. Light shade is tolerated. Provide a sheltered site. Since late spring frosts and early fall frosts could kill this vine, overhead frost protection is desirable.
