Yellow Fleshed Watermelon F1 Champagne Pelleted Seeds

5 Citrullus lanatus seeds. An excellent ice box watermelon, with fine, crispy flesh and sweet flavour. Externally the melon is green with pale white stripes. Fruit is small to medium sized; deep globe shape. Weight typically 2.5-3.5Kg.

Watermelons are grown in a similar manner to standard Melons but they require a longer growing period and benefit from more heat.

Growing Instructions

Seed - sow spring in a rich compost in a greenhouse. Either put 2-3 seeds in each pot and thin to the best plant, or prick out the seedlings into individual pots of rich soil as soon as they are large enough to handle.
Sow March-April into modules, germinates at 25-30°C. Space the plants at 75 x 150-200cm. Typically produces 1-2 fruits per plant.
